My ipod nano has died. It does not turn on when I depress the button on the top and neither does it show any activity when I connect it to my computer. Any ideas?

Problem seem to have fixed itself. I gave it one last chance after a couple of days of ignoring it, pressed the on/off button on the top and it came up with a message saying the battery was flat. I plugged it in to a charger, left it for a couple of hours and its been fine since. It's worth pointing out that I had initially thought this was the problem but on that occasion plugging it in to neither a charger nor the computer could bring it back to life.
