My iPod (5th Gen), after being plugged into my laptop, got a virus telling me my video and audio was being tracked and that I needed to pay £100 to stop it. How do I stop it for good?

(iOS 8.3)

I have since restored and synced my iPod with my desktop computer. I have not synced the iPod with my laptop in a while but the laptop had a very similar problem which I have fixed.

iPod touch, iOS 8.3

Take a look this Apple Support article: Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

If you used these instructions to restore your device, there's no need to worry. Everything should be fine now.
