May 14, 2015 10:06 AM in response to Loner Tby Marc Sievers1,Hi Loner T - Related question because I am encountering a similar problem with a downloaded version of Windows 7. Exactly what files/packages in addition to the .iso files need to be included on the DVD I am going to burn. Can't find this information anywhere in the documentation from Apple.
Thanks

The DVD for installing Windows contains only the Windows installer. All other drivers will come from the BC drivers package which can be downloaded to a USB. The Installer should generic drivers for USB to allow the KVM to function for the installer to complete. If your Mac allows a USB installer creation, then it will contain the BC drivers and the Windows ISO combined.

May 14, 2015 10:37 AM in response to Loner Tby Marc Sievers1,FYI I am using a late 2008 MacBook Pro with functioning optical drive. I created a DVD containing only the Windows .iso file and Boot Camp Assistant gives me a message that it can't find a Windows installation disk. I have the Boot Cam support on a USB disk that is mounted. What am I missing?

May 14, 2015 10:41 AM in response to Marc Sievers1by Loner T,Can you see the DVD in Disk Utility and see it's contents?
-
May 14, 2015 10:52 AM in response to Loner Tby Marc Sievers1,Yes, DVD shows up in Disk Utility. Opening the .iso package with DiskImage Mounter shows the expected contents.

May 14, 2015 11:02 AM in response to Marc Sievers1by Loner T,Do you see files on the DVD in Finder?
-
May 14, 2015 11:27 AM in response to Loner Tby Marc Sievers1,Selecting the mounted disk image in Finder I can see the individual files/folders. Selecting the DVD in Finder only shows me the .iso file and an info panel describing the .iso. It looks like the DVD burned correctly and a Verify Disk on the DVD showed no errors.

May 14, 2015 12:05 PM in response to Marc Sievers1by Loner T,Is it possible that you have an ISO file on the DVD rather than an actual image?
Insert the DVD. Run Applications -> Utilities ->Terminal. Run df -h and find the name of the mounted Volume. Change directory (cd) to /Volumes/YourDVDName. Post the output of ls -l and diskutil list from the Terminal.
(The highlighted text are commands to be typed in the Terminal).

May 14, 2015 12:19 PM in response to Loner Tby Marc Sievers1,Sorry Loner - I don't use Terminal very often. Is the command "cd /Volumes/MY DVD Disk Name"? When I type that in I get a "too many arguments" response from Terminal.
