Am I correct that there is no TOC that actually lists the chapters, with links that take to to each one?
I can see how I could construct one, with link/bookmarks, but it would be klutzy, and I don't see an elegant way to get to it from within the text.

Your TOC is produced automatically as you insert chapters and give those chapters names.
Likewise as you insert sections into the chapters the chapters then also produce a TOC for the chapter.

Thanks. I'm aware of the auto TOC. What I was interested in was a page that showed all chapters (with sections). I gave an iBook i'm working on to several people, and the missed the "all chapter" overview. It seems it's not possible in Author. Just the swipe-through-chapters view. .
