Q: Is the Canon PowerShot A75 camera still supported by Apple I Photo?

I have IPhoto 9.6.1 (910.42). It worked for me one day and when I attempted importing photos the next day it doesn't work.  I also tried using the new Photos application with no success. I get the photos from my camera but then when I click import photos I get a message that says these are unreadable files:32 the operation couldn't be completed.

I use a USB cable from my camera.

I have not tried a card reader. The image capture setting did not work for me.

I allowed an update and I am wondering if that caused the problem. It was the Digital camera RAW compatibility update.

I'm not too knowledge able in  these things, but I would say no. So are you saying that it wouldn't affect it then or did I make a mistake in accepting that update?

No. Does that mean that no, my camera is no longer supported by Apple or does it mean it wasn't a mistake to allow the update?

I guess I still don't have an answer to my original question. Considering that I haven't changed my methods of importing why am I not able to import pictures? My conclusion is that my camera must not be supported by Apple any longer.
