Safari extension to monitor 3rd party activity?

Is there anything like Mozilla's "Lightbeam" (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lightbeam/) for Apple's Safari on the desktop? Mozilla released the add-on to allow users to monitor the other sites that monitor you, but Apple rejected them from the iOS platform, but there's nothing so far for their desktop version and was wondering if anybody knew of something similar?

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for resurrecting this old thread (not much of a thread I know), it's good to know. I did a little research as I wasn't entirely sold on the solution as it wasn't open source, however one review pretty much put the Ghostery software in perspective:

"Ghostery blocks sites from gathering personal information on you—but Ghostrank will take note the ads you encounter and which ones you block, and sends that information back to advertisers so they can better formulate their ads to avoid being blocked. The data is anonymous, and Ghostery still does everything it promises to do to protect your privacy"
