Paste not working in windows

Today I created a numbers spreadsheet in Chrome using a Windows Machine. Selected some cells in an excel file and copied. When tried to paste it the information was not pasted correctly. Tried the same using my mac and everything worked as expected. Looks like an issue with chrome. Does anyone had some similar or any guess how to fix this?
