WiFi Connectivity Problem

My MacBook Pro continually drops the WiFi connection, saying the WiFi does not have an ip address. This happens after I power down the machine, and when I restart it. After restarting, and not being able to connect to my WiFI, if I change the channel my router is broadcasting on, the MacBook connects with no problem. It may stay connected for a few hours, or a few minutes. If it drops the connection, I again have to change the router channel to connect. I have other iOS devices, iPads, iPhones and an iMac, and none of them have this issue, they all connect as expected. Any help or suggestions would b
