Q: my Apple Wireless Keyboard MC184LL/B is only working intermittently.

I am using a Apple Wireless Keyboard MC184LL/B with a 2014 Macbook Pro with a OS X 10.9.5 operating system. It only works intermittently. It says that it is "disconnected" for a few seconds and then " connected" again and again. Any thoughts?
