I know these programs are ancient history, but I'm hoping someone can answer this question. I just installed Final Cut Express HD 3.5 onto an iMac. Looks like it'll work just fine. But when I try to open a file created in Final Cut Express 4.0, I immediately get a "General Error".
Can anyone tell me whether or not the files from the 2 programs are compatible?
Or... is there something I can do to the file so that "HD" can open it?

Sorry, but assuming you're talking about project files,, the answer is no, You can't open a project that was created in a newer version of the app.
