May 15, 2015 11:57 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby asadov1,FCPX = 10.1.4; Compressor 4.1.
I tried checked and in-checked radio button "include chapter markers only".

May 15, 2015 12:05 PM in response to asadov1by Tom Wolsky,Did you put a chapter marker at the beginning? Are any close together?

May 15, 2015 12:35 PM in response to Tom Wolskyby asadov1,At the beginning of what?
I put ~20 markers in the FCPX timeline spaced 3-5 min, created .h264 master-file (30GB) using FCPX, downloaded this file into C4.1 and created DVD.

May 15, 2015 12:44 PM in response to asadov1by Tom Wolsky,AT the beginning of the timeline in FCP.

May 15, 2015 1:06 PM in response to Tom Wolskyby asadov1,You say that I must put the first marker at time=0 in the timeline and then other markers will work? O.K., I will do this and create new master-file.
Should I check radio button "include chapter markers only" in C4.1?

May 15, 2015 1:32 PM in response to asadov1by Tom Wolsky,No, I'm asking you if you did. If you put a marker at the beginning other chapter markets won't work. I'm not sure what radio button you're referring to in Compressor. i assume the chapter markets appear in the exported H.264 file.

May 15, 2015 2:17 PM in response to Tom Wolskyby asadov1,No, I did not put marker at time=0.
How I can check if markers are in exported H.264 file?
Should I try to create DVD by-passing master-file, i.e. using option "File --> Send to Compressor" instead of "File--> Share"?

May 15, 2015 2:25 PM in response to asadov1by Tom Wolsky,IF you open the exported file the qtx player, on the right in the controller wil be a list icon.

May 15, 2015 7:04 PM in response to asadov1by Russ H,I tried. but can't reproduce your problem. My chapter markers stay in the same place I put them in FCP X..
Also curious…why are you using Compressor to begin with? Why not just use FCP to Share>DVD?

--> I thought that correct workflow is to export high-resolution master file from FCPX and then use it with compressor to produce DVD, BD, and other products. Next time I'll try to by-pass Compressor and create DVD/BD directly from FCPX.

I would say that if you are going to export a master file with the intent of re-compressing it (say for disks or the Web), use one of the Pro Res choices available in FCP Settings…Pro Res LT or Pro Res 422 would be fine. H.264 is an excellent delivery codec, but is highly compressed (which you will need to do once again for your DVD).

May 16, 2015 9:27 AM in response to Russ Hby asadov1,My 128 min .H264 file is 30GB. Then I have to compress it to 25GB to create HD. Why I should create master file in ProResLT that will have size ~90GB?
What is the advantage of creating master-file with 3.5 times higher resolution than the product?

May 16, 2015 9:32 AM in response to asadov1by Russ H,So you are trying to create a Blu Ray disk…not a DVD. All my comments were in respect to DVD creation.
