How do I select outward facing camera before Facetime call? Other camera is not working, and all I see on startup islist of previous calls, no camera switch button.

Ive never known FaceTime to have any feature to switch cameras. It uses the front facing camera only as the higher resolution rear camera takes too much bandwidth. You'll have to get the front camera repaired - if it is not damaged by a drop or accident, it may be covered under warranty?
WE do it all the time, when a FaceTime call is connected, to the left beside the red receiver button there is a camera. Icon...tap that & the camera will switch to the rear facing camera.
It is out of warranty, did get camera , and connector to circuit board, replaced. No difference. As for camera switch, I DID have that button when I first tried it. And the other end did see background. Did not know which camera it was on, switched back, now never get the switch button.
thanks, will try that. I thought I had seen a button in the upper right,long ago, maybe bad memory of awhile back. But I think the bad camera, defaulted to front, is preventing normal use on my end. For example, normal use shows selfie on the screen before calling. I do not get that.
