please help. i have tried restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling final cut pro and nothing is working.

Hold down the option and command keys when you launch and delete preferences.

i tried that and it didn't work. when it is starting up it gets to loading compressor support and then crashes.
I had the problem already with 10.2 and hoped that the 10.2.1 update would solve the issue. But sorry to say - it did not.
For some others following helped:
- delete Prefs
- clean up Font Book AND restart the uiserver
- delete references (sim link) out of original and transcoded media
(- start from a new added user)
and ultimately like for me revert back to 10.1.4 AND retrieving a backup of the old library.
