Is the new 10.2.1 FCPX update free to those who bought a previous version of FCPX?

Hi, pretty new around, just wondering, I recently bought the version of Final Cut Pro X that preceded this new update, I want to know, is the 10.2.1 update free to download, or is there a cash sum involved?

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Updates to software bought in the Mac App Store are free.

When you bought the computer with the software preinstalled, the reseller bought the software using their credentials in the App Store. They actually own the software. You cannot update it or reinstall it without using their App Store login and password, something they're not likely to provide to you. Check your purchase receipts and the contract you signed to see what they say they sold to you and then get ready to argue with them. Apple Support can do nothing solving this issue between you and them.

You can, at your own risk, of course (and there is some risk that your current work will not opne in the new version of FCPX that will download) throw away the FCPX application and download the current 30 day trial version of FCPX. When your trial period terminates, you must either have settled the dispute with your reseller or you wmust give Apple $300 for the new copy of the application.
