Q: Ability to select messages without reading them
Hello,
I found that it is impossible to select messages without opening (reading) them. E.g. in gmail web interface you have checkboxes that allow you to select and delete messages without reading them. This is useful for spam messages, because spammers do track receiving/reading, you will receive more and more messages if you start read them all.
So currently I see Mail app encourages that and does support spammers more than me, who bought this fake notebook for $3 000. I can't select and delete a spam message. At least there should be a setting option to prevent ANY downloads for messages from the spam folder, so it won't load anything, any blank.gif and other tracking resources.
Is there any way I can achieve this behavior?
For now I only found the setting, that prevents loading of resources from third party sources, but:
- this setting applies to all my email folders, which is not desired at all, google does filter spam messages very well, so I only need such restrictions for my spam folder
- I am still not sure if it does prevent all tracking requests or not
Thank you,
Alexander
