Q: OS Yosemite / Canon driver for Canon MP210 printer

According to Canon's Mac OS X compatibility chart, your model printer is not compatible w/Yosemite.

There is a v10.67.2.0 driver for the MP210 for OS X 10.8 that should work on 10.10. Here is a link from the Canon Australia web site. Note that this driver is not signed for Yosemite so its install may be blocked by Gatekeeper. To get past Gatekeeper, right-click on the driver installer and select Open from the pop-up menu that appears. Now you will get the option to install the driver.

If after installing you still have issues with using this printer driver then there is an alternate driver suite called Gutenprint that is free or PrintFab that costs. Both driver packages list your MP210 as a supported device.

yup the driver link from au definitely worked.

When I tried to install the driver, it said "lipo" command requires the command line developer.  Did you get that message and did you download it?  I did not want to download it not knowing what it is or how it would affect my computer.  I then tried to scan on my printer but it wouldn't work. 

Excellent - the AU driver worked for me. Saved me having to buy a new printer, especially when my current one is perfectly good. Many thanks for your advice.

Hi. Yes I did get that message, did a bit of googling around and it seemed it wasn't a risk, so went ahead and downloaded it. The printer now works just fine. Good luck.

I have MacBook Pro Retina 2015 running Yosemite, I downloaded and installed the Canon MP210 driver for Mountain Lion (10.8) and it ran the printer fine.

EmJayBee66--I went back to install the printer and this time did NOT get the message about "lipo command requires the command line developer".  Now I can print but cannot scan.  Do you know what I need to do to be able to scan?

This worked very well when upgrading to Yosemite. And thank goodness also works with El Capitan. SGE

This is also my issue - I cannot scan. Printing works as usual. Does apple force us to by a new printer/scanner? Does apple produce printers and scanners?

This is surcassm but the issue is real. Can somebody help?
