Wrong Username on iPad

I wrote the wrong Apple User ID when I first set up FaceTime on my iPad.

How can I change it to the right User ID?

Does logging out of FaceTime & logging in with the correct ID work?

Thanks for your help.

I am not sure what it means to log out of FaceTime (sorry!).

But I went into Settings / FaceTime on my iPad, deleted the Apple ID that showed up in the box, wrote in the correct one with the password, and tried to sign in -- but it did not work.

Is the correct ID in use on your iCloud account & are you logged into your device using that account?

You may have to reset your settings - this will not delete any apps or files but you'll have to set up your device again i.e. log into wifi & your Apple/iCloud account. General>Reset>Reset all settings.
