How to pay HBO NOW with iTunes gift card?

CAn you pay your monthly subscription to HBO NOW with a gift card for iTunes? My free subscription runs out today, and i still have $15 credit on my account. I did get a emIl saying there was a payment problem (cut ties with bank/credit cards) but I have had the $15 on there for 3 days.

It should work from store credit in theory - try contacting iTunes Store support.

I always keep store credit in balance and have a few recurring subscriptions in the UK that get paid via store credit.
