I had uninstall Numbers and Garageband from my Macbook pro with Retina Display a few months ago. However, I would like to redownload them from the Mac App Store it shows me that I need to purchase it.
The Numbers and Garageband was free to download when I first purchase my mac. My mac is a late 2013 model.

Have you looked in the Purchases tab? You should be able to reinstall them from there.

Sometimes the following works:
In Mac App store under 'Quick Links' at the right, click 'Account' and sign in.
Then click this 'Reset' button.

I tried to reset it. This doesn't work either.
It sounds like you might have "hidden" the purchase. Follow these steps to see if it is hidden, and then unhide it and reinstall. (I had this with a game once)

There is no hidden purchase in my account information page.
This sounds more like a Mac App Store issue than a "how to use Numbers" problem. Have you had a look at the Mac App Store discussions? You may have better luck describing your problem there.
