Q: I received a message on Safari "Warning ios Crash Report"

I received a message on Safari "Warning ios Crash Report" "Due to a third party application in your phone, ios is crashed. Call 866-777-6226" I can't delete cookies or clear history to make it go away. How can I rid myself of this malady?

If you're seeing that message on a computer, choose Force Quit from the Apple menu, close Safari, and then launch it with the Shift key held down. If that doesn't work, temporarily disconnect the computer from the Internet and/or click here and run Adware Medic. You may need to download it from a different web browser.


If you're seeing that message on an iOS device, click here and follow the instructions in the first paragraph of the last section.

    I love smart people. Thank you. That solved the problem and I am running again. I cleared history and emptied caches to be sure everything is gone. Any other preventive action I should take?

    Avoid visiting compromised or questionable websites, or downloading software from sources other than the Mac App Store or the developer sites.
