Hi: I know the behaviour of the diagnostic leds on iMac logic boards. Led 1 signals "trickle power" from the power supply. What does it mean? I guess it's nothing to do with the 5v standby power in power supplies (that typically remains on whenever the PSU is plugged).

Its a quick way to verify the power supply is properly connected to the logic board.
LED #1
Indicates that the trickle voltage from power supply has been detected by main logic board.
This LED will turn ON when you connect the iMac to a working AC power source. The LED will
remain ON as long as the computer is ON or asleep.
That is standby power. It keeps the internal backup battery (or "PRAM battery") from having to work unless AC power is lost completely, as in a short power failure or the computer coming off the mains for maintenance or moving.
All right, so this is how apple calls the well-known "standby power". Thanks a lot.
