can i import Sony s7 .mp4 video file to FCP 7 ? there is any plugin ?

i have wedding shoot files in Sony S7 Dslr Camera ! i want to capture ti this file in FCP 7 . any one know how to capture those files in FCP 7 ?


codec details :

H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part10) (avc1)

Resolution :1920X1090

Screen resolution: 1920X1080

Frame rate : 50

Decoded format : Planar 4:2:0 YUV

Final Cut Pro 7, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

You have to convert it to ProRes 422 outside of FCP, with Compressor or MPEG STREAMCLIP or EditReady or BulletProof. FCP 7 cannot work with the files it produces, nor does Log and Transfer work as FCP 7 is 5 years old, discontinued 4 years ago, with all support for recent cameras, such as that one, no longer being updated.


But Compressor should work fine...as should the others. Remember....ProRes 422.
