Q: Photos Library vs iPhoto Library

Since upgrading OS to Yosemite, I now have Photos instead of iPhoto.

In finder, under Pictures, I now have two libraries. iPhoto Library (Migrated Photo Library - 97.15 GB, last opened last month) and Photos Library (104.9 GB, last opened yesterday).

I still have iPhoto on my Mac - is this now redundant? I use Photos now for all my pictures. What advantages would there be to keeping iPhoto instead of just getting rid?

Are these effectively duplicate libraries (albeit with Photos now adding the pictures since I upgraded) and would I be better off deleting my iPhoto library to free up HD space?
