Redo the setup of the TC. Use all short names, no spaces and pure alphanumeric for everything. Names like TCgenx are what I suggest.
Wireless also TCwifi
Passwords 8-20 characters pure alphanumeric mix of case and numbers.
However if you still have issues start with no password.. if that works try with WPA + WPA2 which is more compatible with older stuff.. HiFi might not be up to date with WiFi.

May 18, 2015 11:41 AM in response to Ryszby vegasboop,When I could not set up my system I contacted the Bose help and they had me use my centurylink wi-fi rather than my time capsule wi-fi. I just think it is strange that the time capsule wi-fi would not work to connect my system. I know that Apple blocked me from using an older Roku I had that let me stream music from iTunes to the Roku. I'm just wondering if they have blocked Bose systems too.
The time capsule wi-fi also keeps changing as the main wi-fi to use on my mac even though I have clicked all the options to make century link my main wi-fi. If I don't look at the setting before using the Bose sound touch it will not stream my music. Do you have any idea why I cannot make the century link wi-fi stay? I know I can cancel the wi-fi on the time capsule but cannot figure out how to do that. I have searched to no avail.

No. They didn't "block you" from using it.

May 18, 2015 11:47 AM in response to LaPastenagueby vegasboop,I would like to redo the setup of the TC but cannot figure out how to do it. I'm thinking maybe I should just unplug the darn thing since the wi-fi keeps hijacking my mac as the main wi-fi. I may need to make a trip to the Apple store.
Your post is most appreciated but some of the tech talk is above my pay grade. Maybe if I can get in to the TC to reset it I will better understand the terminology. I really just want to disconnect my TC wi-fi and use if for a backup only.

May 18, 2015 11:50 AM in response to vegasboopby Csound1,Are you running 2 separate networks, and if yes, why?

May 18, 2015 12:52 PM in response to Csound1by vegasboop,Yes I am. Century Link is my internet carrier and the modem they provide has a wi-fi connection built in. I bought the Time Capsule hoping to get a stronger signal in my house since the modem is upstairs and my television and my Bose receiver and sound touch amplifier are downstairs. I didn't have any problem using the TC wi-fi until the Bose came in the house. I have a T-Link power line adapter on the way. When I listen to my music in the backyard the signal goes in and out if anyone is using my wi-fi for the internet. Maybe that will help my signal. If not I will hardwire the Bose with an ethernet cable. I have the highest internet service that Century Link offers.

We'll try to keep things simple here.
Hopefully, you will recognize the name of the wireless network that the Time Capsule is producing. Some devices.....possibly the Bose.....are very particular about the name of the wireless network that they attempt to join and use.
So, for example if your Time Capsule is producing a wireless network name like......
Vegasboop's Red Apple Wireless Network
The Bose is very likely never going to connect. Why? Several reasons......
There is a special character (an apostrophe) in the name, and a lot of wireless devices will not recognize that because they want to see a normal letter or number. In addition to not recognizing the apostrophe, devices often don't recognize a dollar sign, asterisk, exclamation mark, etc.
The name is long.....30+ characters......when you want to limit things to about 20 characters or less
The name contains blank spaces......confusing to some devices....since they don't know what it is
A wireless network name like.......
VegasboopWireless
Will be easy for devices to connect to. No special characters, less than 20 characters in l, no blank spaces.
So, if you want to try to connect the Bose using wireless......and you have not already simplified the name of the wireless network that the Time Capsule provides.....you might consider giving that a try.
It will only take a few clicks and few minutes to change the name if you need to do this. If you need more instructions, post back.

May 18, 2015 1:27 PM in response to Bob Timmonsby vegasboop,My TC wireless is "Elizabeth's Wi-Fi Network" so you are probably correct in stating why it may not recognize it. At this point I hesitate to change anything in the Bose as it took several phone calls to the help desk to get it pointed to my Century Link wi-fi and to stay there. They even went in to my computer and and changed settings plus the Bose had to be reformatted. I am finding that the new Bose whole house system can get pretty complicated. I had a Bose system for 20 years that was so simple as it was all connected with wires - no wireless back then. I wish it could have been fixed. Thank you for the response. I may one day do has you suggest but not right now. If you know how to get in to the TC to shut off the wireless I would appreciate hearing about that.

May 18, 2015 1:36 PM in response to vegasboopby Bob Timmons,To turn off the wireless function on the Time Capsule.......
On your Mac.....open Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the picture of the Time Capsule
Click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click the Wireless tab at the top of the window
Change the setting for Network Mode to Off
Click the Update button at the lower right of the window and wait a minute for the Time Capsule to restart.

May 18, 2015 2:10 PM in response to vegasboopby Csound1,You can see by the 2nd screen shot that Elizabeth's Wi-Fi is still showing as connected.
Where, the second shot in your post shows that you are connected to a network called DBC5322, not Elizabeth's

May 18, 2015 2:12 PM in response to Bob Timmonsby vegasboop,Never mind my last post. I see what I did wrong and turned it off. One day I will turn it back on and rename it. In the mean time I will use TC as a backup. Thanks for all your help. I could not find those instructions anywhere on the google or apple community.
