is it true that once you download anything to your apple device that it is there FOREVER. is it these details that are stored in 'other' FOREVER and you cannot delete anything apart from a full factory reset?

Is it true that once you download anything to an apple device that you cannot EVER delete it, is the 'other' on the usage EVERTHING you have EVER downloaded, and is it true that you CANNOT EVER delete this information, and that only a full factory restore will delete the 'other' on usage?

It is true that you can never delete a purchase from your iTunes purchase history. iTunes purchases are forever tied to your Apple ID and will always appear in the purchased tab of the App Store app , the iTunes Store App or the iBooks Apps on all of your iOS devices. While you can delete the app and the data from the device, you cannot remove the history of the purchases themselves.

You can hide the purchases if you don't want to see them in your history or if you do not want someone else to see apps that you have purchased in the past, but you cannot delete a purchase from your account.

However, the purchases are really not that big of a part of the "other" data if that is your concern. I assume that you have some. Issues with "other" after reading a few of your other posts. A really large "other" is most likely from corruption in apps or a bad sync with iTunez.
