Time capsule disk showing up but will not backup

Hi,


My time capsule and disk are showing up. My computer tells me how much space is available on the disk, and I can even enter Time Machine and see my most recent backups. My computer however, has not backed itself up in two weeks and continues to not do so.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Typical Yosemite.


Sometimes you need to take extreme measures..


But first. Verify the backup.

And delete the existing TM setup and redo it..

Although older instructions they can still be helpful.


Otherwise the full blown reset of the TC to factory and start over again.


Sometimes TM simply refuses to continue working.


Make sure your Yosemite computer has not changed its share name.. as this happens regularly as it has issues with ghosting.
