Hi all: Ever since hooking up Apple TV (gift from friend), I find if I have a laptop open, clicking the Apple TV remote in order to do anything at all turns on iTunes on my laptop and as I click stuff on the tv screen (not in itunes), the volume on my laptop goes up and down. How do I get the tv and my laptop--with respect to volume control--disentangled? Thanks.

The laptop is picking up the remote signal. Go into system preferences - security - general. Click on the padlock - go into advanced. Check disable remote control infrared receiver
