Ipod Nano 2nd Generation Compatibility issues with New Version of Itunes

My new version of Itunes isn't even recognizing my second generation nano at all. It's as if nothing is even plugged into my Mac. Any way to download music onto the nano without getting a new Ipod?

MacBook Pro, iOS 5.1.1

I understand that your iPod nano is not being seen in iTunes on your Mac. To get it working, take a look at the article below to troubleshoot the issue. Try every USB port that is on your MacBook Pro as well as restarting both the iPod nano and your Mac. If you still don't see it in iTunes to sync your music, then you will want to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
