i just bought a new apple mackbook air ...and while i was registering ...i tried both visa/mastercard card option for payment but everytime it ends up saying payment method was declined.i tried registering through both apple store and i tune but both didnt work !! whats wrong ?? what should i do ?? i m not able to download any app !!

Some time, I changed my payment method on my existing Apple ID by going to my account in the iTunes store. You might want to try that to see if it will work (if you have an Apple ID). However, I had established an account with a credit card previously, so that may be a requirement - you might want to check with them to make sure.
FWIW, you do NOT want to download anything from sites such as softonic as they often include added "goodies" such as adware, or other unwanted things.

You need to contact your credit card companies and/or Apple store - we are all other users here and would not be able to know why a payment method was declined. Here is some info on payments from the Apple store:

Or if you are referring to downloading things from the app store, you need to establish an Apple ID first.
if i dont have a credit card can i still download free apps from apple store ?? beoz even if i try downloading apps like xcode from different websites like softonic etc it still redirects me back to apple store to log in with apple id ...and again after logging in my apple id it says to complete my account details in which only my credit card info is blank 😟..what to do ??i m sooo fed up !! 😢
