Thunderbolt Display - Multiple Macs?

I'm looking to buy a new Thunderbolt Monitor and a Mac Mini as I need a desktop for home. I also have a 15" MBP Retina (Mid 2012).

- Can I use the Thunderbolt Monitor for both Macs simultaneously? I want to keep the Mac Mini running 24/7 as a 'server' type machine. But be able to plug in my MBP when I need an extra Monitor.

- I assume this is possible, given the multiple thunderbolt ports on the Display. I want to use the monitor as 'docking' station for the MBP. But only as a display for the Mac Mini.

- Is it easy enough to switch inputs on the monitor? I haven't seen any buttons on the display.
