Q: Mac Mini (Fall 2010) and WEP Security

I have a Mini (Fall 2010) that does not allow me to connect to a a WiFi secured with WEP. It asks me to provide a WPA password. I wonder if a router would allow me to connect to the WEP network then connect to the Mini an Ethernet connection. I was also wondering if a USB WiFi antenna would allow me to use the WEP security.

Any ideas?

WEP is effectively the same as no security at all, why do you want that?

We travel in our RV and sometimes use the primitive campground WiFi to stream movies. We use the Mini strictly as an entertainment computer. We use our Verizon Hotspots for our personal computing.

For WEP, you have to enter the first hexadecimal key. When you set up a router for WEP you can manually enter the four keys or you can enter a paraphrase (just a characters). If yo enter a paraphrase the router generates four keys
