Q: Migrated to Photos and there are 2 library location. Can I delete one?
I migrated over to Photo's and have been using the new program. I noticed on my hard drive when I go into Pictures there is the iPhoto Library of 123GB and then a second library called Photos Library of 129GB. I have uploaded new photos to the new library and its dated later. The old iPhoto library has a date from last week when I migrated over. To save space on my hard drive does anyone know if I can delete that old iPhoto Library? I went into package contents of the new Photo's Library and I see the masters for my old photo's there. I think i can delete the iPhoto Library and just want to ask here if I can
Thanks,

The iPhoto Library.migratedphotolibrary is your old iPhoto Library, and you can open it anytime in iPhoto 9.6.1. Then newer Photos Library.photoslibrary is used by Photos. You can delete the older iPhoto library, but make a backup copy. You may need it to repeat the migration, if you discover hidden issues later, that can only be repaired by repairing the library in iPhoto.
Deleting "iPhoto Library of 123GB " will not free much space. The file size is misleading. Both libraries are sharing the original master files using hard links. The storage for the Master folder is only used once. If you delete the iPhoto library, the storage will not decrease much, because the Photos library is using the same files.
