I've been trying to transfer a few of my photo folders from my PC tp my iPad. Having done 1, the n trying another, the 1st one gets deleted. What am I doing wrong please?

I've been trying to transfer a few of my photo folders from my PC to my iPad. Having done one successfully, the second one deletes the first. What am I doing wrong please?
