Pages won't let me type

Pages won't let me type

I have been working on this document for several days and in the middle of highlighting and moving a section of text, that portion of text disappeared and blue frame appeared around the text on that page. I am no unable to undo that action, type in any portion of the document and have absolutely no idea how remove the blue frame and continue my work.

Please help. This document needs to be sent out ASAP.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Hi,

I don't know for sure if this will help but I have found that when I can't type anything, similar to the way you are describing, I must re-start my computer. That clears it up. It seems to be a problem with the computer getting "confused" about what I've been doing, if that makes any sense to you.

I have a MacBook Pro w/retina, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3).
