I'm unable to Share .mov files

I open my .mov file using QuickTime Player 10.1. The video plays fine, but when I try to use the Share menu, none of the share options are available, they are greyed out. Can anyone help?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)
