Q: Photo's from one phone to another

Arrggghh,, This is driving me mad.... I have a new iphone6 plus and despite my best efforts, I cannot get all my contacts over from my iphone 5c and, well, the pics is also a nightmare.... I can see my pics have been stored in itunes when I plug my iphone5c in and there are about 530ish, but when I plug my new phone is, I cannot access the pics..... Do I have to plug both in at the same time or will itunes blow up with the confusion? haha  Pls Pls heeellpp.....
