Q: Cannot get Apple Cinema Display camera to work

I have a MacBook Air (Mid-2011) connected via thunderbolt to 27" Apple Cinema Display. I have the MBA lid closed and would like to use the buit-in camera at the top of the Cinema Display but cannot figure out how to get it enabled. Facetime says "No camera available".

The built-in camera on the MacBook Air works fine.

Any ideas? TIA.

Those troubleshooting links helped. Amazingly enough, I opened my lid and then closed it and the external monitor's camera was then recognized. Thank you for the reply!
