Uninstalling/Reinstalling iTunes

I have Windows 7 and an iPod Classic. I have been unable to get the the last two versions of iTunes to register my iPod. After trying other options with my iPod and before I purchase a new one, I am uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes just to make sure it isn't the program. Does anybody know if 'related components' would include also deleting iCloud and QuickTime? These are showing as Apple, so I am assuming these need to be included on the deletion; however, they are not showing as part of the referenced document.
