Mac mini display reset & constant replugging of cable

1. Shut down Mac mini.
2. Hold: Command + Option + P + R while re-booting Mac mini.
3. Remain holding until Gray Screen finishes loading & arrives to user menu.
Works for Mac Mini Late 2012 with Samsung LN40B530P7NXZA via mini DVI to VGA

Some of Samsung's LCD monitors aren't initially calibrated as 'computer' monitors.
Previous times, I would notice that my display was large, under pixelated, not within the TV's frame, & sometimes
shrunk below the frame. Constantly, I carried my attention to ' System Preferences / Displays / Choose: Default for display'.

As a result, the display reset to a 1440 x 900 @ 75 Hz resolution. Obviously enough 'NOT 1080'...so then

a next resort to 'MANUAL OVERRIDE' by disconnecting & reconnecting each time re-awakening, rebooting, or restarting.

HOLD YOUR TROUBLE FIRE!!!

1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz was met and set to default after using the prescribed actions.

Further tests I performed:
1. Shut off and on for a 3rd time and NVRAM recognized display settings and defaulted to 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.
2. Allowed 'Sleep' to perform. Display also returned to 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.
3. Performed 'Restart' and also returned to 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.
