Can I burn purchased music more than 7 times?

I am trying to burn CDs for my wedding favors, and I cannot seem to get around the licensing rule. While I understand why they have this rule, I read that iTunes no longer has this rule and if you were to repurchase the songs, you would not run into this problem. Therefore, I repurchased the songs that I needed to, but I am still running into the licensing problem. That being said, was the information I was given incorrect, or are you allowed unlimited downloads? Please let me know, as time is of essence!
