I'm trying to identify the name of the music that plays as the "classic" music theme in the slideshow function in the new Apple Photos application on the Mac. Does anyone know its name? I am also stumped as to where that snippet of music is located. It doesn't seem to be where the iPhotos themed music was to be found. But the name of the music is what I really want!

Yes, I went looking and noticed you had searched iPhoto. I tried opening Photos in Applications as well but there was no Music folder under Content! So I too still have no idea where the music snippets are found!
I don't think Endless Summer is the theme. I tried a few Endless Summer videos in YouTube but they're surfing related or the like. Certainly not "classic" although I'm not sure the Photos "classic" music theme is quite classic either. But I like it!
Finally, where did you find the exact 'window' you pasted in your above response? When I'm in Photos and click the arrow at the top for Slideshow, and then click Music, and then select Theme Songs, it lists the songs that you show above. But mine doesn't show "Music Library" or "Selected Music" above the list. So I'm confused what precisely you're looking at.

But I don't know if that's the same as in iPhoto which is called Endless Summer. It doesn't sound like it. I don't know where it's located.

The iPhoto themes are located in the iPhoto/Contents/Resources/Music folder.
This has got my interest up so I've asked another user to look into it also. Will post back if we find them.
