Q: I Accidently erased EVERYTHING. and did not back up anything. i just bought an apple os x installment disc. but everytime i try to use the disk it automatically take me to dawrin kernel panic and all im trying to do is get my computer started back up

You cannot install any Intel-based version of OS X on a PPC computer. Your computer cannot boot from the Snow Leopard DVD that you have purchased.

This forum is for pre-2006 iMacs that cannot run any higher Mac OSX version than 10.5.8. If you included your current iMac OSX version and iMac variant, you can get better help.
