my ipod 80 gig storage capacity, screen is not active...error code 1439 displayed

1. iPod classic

2. Storage capacity - 80 Gig

3. Battery has been down for nearly 4 years

4. Managed to get it charged by connecting the USB to my PC

5. But the screen is still not active

6. I tried to restore the settings but I received the message "This iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1439)" was displayed
