Today while walking with my ipod I accidently pulled the adaptor out and when I put it back in, it wouldn't let me move the screen. It hums and won't shut down. All it does is stay on, on the shuffle songs screen. Help please.

Sorry to hear that you are not able to use your iPod classic. Most issues with and iPod can be resolved by resetting it. To do that, you can just hold the Menu and Center button until you see the Apple logo, which is about 8 seconds at the most. Take a look at the article below for more information if needed.
