Why can't I connect my iPad to my air printer ta Carol

I Have a iPad 2 and I have bought a canon MG3250 printer, but I cannot get it to print from the iPad. What Iam I not doing right. Ta Carol

Both devices have to be connected to the same wireless network. See this support document for some tips on connection issues. About AirPrint - Apple Support

Tell us what you are doing, and we may be able to tell you what you are doing wrong.

Is the Printer connected to the same wifi network as the iPad?

Does the Printer have any special instructions for air printing?

What happens when you try to print?
