May 20, 2015 7:52 AM in response to olgafromholytoledoby olgafromholytoledo,I appreciate the attempt to help ( as you can imagine) but NOTHING is working ( of course what I am doing or not doing is making everything worse ) I have now gone from not have iPhoto anymore to quite a few more apps, like my iTunes (all my music ) Garage Band is also gone . So very frustrating and depressing. The iPhoto is the worst as my gifts to family and friends are pic.'s from great grandparents & grandparents that I no longer have. I am going to call Apple & see if they can help , even at a cost.

Photos for MacWell all you asked was how to uninstall Snow Leopard, the answer I provided is correct.
As long as you have been backing up your computer (Time Machine or some other method) your data is saved. If you have not been backing it up, you MUST do that immediately before doing ANYTHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. If you are not aware of Time Machine click the link for the fundamentals : Mac Basics: Time Machine backs up your Mac - Apple Support

Photos for MacYou have been provided help, I strongly recommend that you begin following it. By "lost" do you mean you cannot see these apps in the Dock? The solution to that is simple, using Finder click the Applications folder - locate the "missing" apps and drag them to the Dock. Apple instructs you how to do this in Mac Basics: The Dock holds your favorite apps, documents, and more - Apple Support

Okay, you have somehow uninstalled these applications. Do you have a Time Machine backup?

May 20, 2015 9:20 AM in response to rkaufmann87by aatsi,It sounds to me as if you copied applications from another version of OS X to a Snow Leopard installation, and Snow Leopard can't use those apps, because they're too old or too new.
If you right-click on iTunes and select Get Info, what version number does it say iTunes is?

Photos for MacOkay, you have created quite a mess! The first thing I'd recommend doing is re-installing Snow Leopard using the DVD you have with SL on it. This will install OS X over your system however it should not affect your data. Once you have installed it then navigate to Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 and install the update combo.

May 20, 2015 9:58 AM in response to aatsiby olgafromholytoledo,Here is pop up message
You can't use this version of the application iTunes.app with this version of Mac OS X.
You have Mac OS X 10.6.7. The application requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later.
