Q: Mac Screen is Red

17 inch

Mac OS X version 10.6.8

Processor 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I turned my computer on and my screen has these flickering red stripes and grids. Has anyone had this problem? What needed to be done to fix it?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see you are having issues with your display showing red stripes and grids. I would suggest taking a look at the following article:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays - Apple Support
The sections "Brightness or color isn't uniform" and "No video or no signal, image distortion, "snow." or flickering" may be most relevant.
