Can Mountain Lion separate photos?

I have an app called Epson Scan which came with the software for my Epson Perfection V300 Photo. It will scan a group of photos in one scan. I need to separate them so that I can deal with each photo separately. Is there any part of Mountain Lion that will do this for me? Does Apple have an app that will do this?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), Parallels with Snow Leopard Server

Strange that Epson Scan does not do that, but consider buying the vastly better scanning software VueScan:

which apart from many other things does that with ease.

I finally went to Epson.com and found out that Epson Scan does indeed do this! Isn't it amazing what reading the directions will do for you? When I think of how much time I have wasted!
