Macbook Air hiding my photos

Macbook Air early 2014 version running OS X Yosemite version 10.10

Recently I accidentally restarted my macbook and then it deleted my photos from iPhoto. However on my flash storage it says that there is 50GB worth of photos? If it is not in iPhoto or the trash can ,where could my photos be stored? Below i have inserted a screenshot of my flash storage and iPhoto:User uploaded fileUser uploaded file

Hey Luckshmic,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like pictures are missing from iPhoto on your MacBook Pro. Take a look at the article linked below and try rebuilding the photo library by holding the Command and Option keys while launching iPhoto.
