I am experiencing an issue with the airdrop not founding my printer (canon MP499). (iPad Air 2 iOS 8.3 - safari)
Any other app, including the canon app works and prints. I have tried reboot and any instruction from printer manufact. Nothing has worked so far. The issue seems in fact to be airdrop as opposed to the printer or the network.
Any suggestion?

I'm assuming you are referring to AirPrint since AirDrop moves files between devices.
The MP499 is not an AirPrint compatible printer so you will have to use the Canon app.

Llol...of course I mean AirPrint, sorry! Which means I can't print straight from safari then...
